Oooops!
As reported by on the PBS show Now with Bill Moyers , President Obama is dropping the ball on health care reform. I totally supported Obama for President and continue to root for him!! As previously posted I was overjoyed by his statements on Palestine and his speech in Cairo. Oh the joy at hearing an American President stand up for the interests of all concerned in the Mid East and NOT just the Israelis!!The President has made it clear he wants us to hold him accountable. Well sir, what about this incredible video where you state you are a single payer proponent? You have the House, the Senate AND you are the President!!! What are you waiting for? What has changed? If health care stays a for profit business, then people will be denied coverage and costs will keep rising. We are not getting a good value for our dollars spent. It is that simple. People who aren't covered are at grave risk. Do the cops ask you if your insured before they keep a criminal from killing you or you kids. Do firemen ask if your insured before they risk their own lives to save yours? NO!
Mr. President do the right thing! All the spin and lobbying and deceitful politics in the world can't stop you because you have us! WE came through for you, now come through for us!!!

It makes my head ache to think of the serried ranks of health insurance lobbyists working day and night to make any but their profit making models appear "socialistic"
I don't know who or what got to Obama, but, remembering the Clinton Health insurance efforts stymied, I fear we, the consumers, will continue to be underserved and overcharged.
